因為他沒向人事室辦理變更, 所以...

感謝團長有效率地在暑假一開始就辦了霧台的活動.

剛好已離職的同事巴清雄在部落裡, 多虧他,

讓我們在兩天的活動裡非常愉快地體驗部落的風光. 食物. 星空. 植物...

在炎熱的午後, 還帶著我們到私房景點去玩水呢!

the tree of life

i had seen The Tree of Life and... like it.

it's a movie that people either love it or hate it;

a few people walked out of it in about 30 min.

it looks to me like God's apology for his indifference to human suffering when it puts galaxies and nebulae on screen or delves into the origin of life without narration; and then it boils down to the nerve-racking father-son relationship, which could be both nurturing and volcanic. It's so modern that the son's prayer is also mine, and so ancient like Greek tragedy.

"There are two ways through life: the way of nature and the way of grace."

i choose the way of tea.

air-raid alarm

The air-raid alarm broke out at 1:30 pm.
The lazy traffic of the noon stood still,
the rain stopped drizzling,
the clouds sought refuge,
the only thing that was falling
was the shit scared out of a dove of peace.

green

The rain through the night cast a spell over trees.
Leaves are splashing with layers of colorful green.
It's a feast to the raising and sojourning eyes,
light green,
dark green,
dewy green,
drippy green,
dawning green,
twilight green,
jade green,
lime green,
misty green,
foggy green,

to name a few...

Some inspiration for the ladies….

One night President Obama and his wife Michelle decided to do something out of routine and go for a casual dinner at a restaurant that wasn't too luxurious. When they were seated, the owner of the restaurant asked the president's secret service if he could please speak to the First Lady in private. They obliged and Michelle had a conversation with the owner.


Following this conversation President Obama asked Michelle, why was he so interested in talking to you. She mentioned that in her teenage years, he had been madly in love with her. President Obama then said, "so if you had married him, you would now be the owner of this lovely restaurant", to which Michelle responded, "no, if I had married him, he would now be the President".

i saw you.
in the supermarket.
it's been almost 20 years since last time.
at first i just sensed someone nearby,
then some shadowy movement and kid's laughter,
the way you addressed your kid drew my attention.
that intonation, joyful and peculiar, it's you.
one thing in common, we both bought diapers;
i took a pack for my old man, you pushed a cart full of them for your lovely kid.
i didn't walk up to say hello, just let the memory surge over my mind.
Rumor has it that it's the end of the world.
we are survivors, after all.

fire

A fire burned down a popular pub near Civil Square in the midnight.
i often passed by this pub before, with a burning curiosity that had never been quelled.
The pub had a single door facing the street and was enclosed by cemented wall with painted figures,
which made it hard to escape when the fire broke out.
i walked by it again on my way for lunch.
Several news SNGs lined up the street.
i didn't have to come close to see what happened,
the news was on the TV at the resturant i was heading,
i would have watched it several times and got fed up during a meal.
